Custom Entertainment Center for Tampa Family

The French Refinery uses our custom cabinetry for almost every kitchen or bathroom remodeling job we do. We can also design and build amazing solid wood cabinets for other areas such as home offices and game rooms. We were asked by our clients in Tampa Bay to assess a number of remodeling options, including the addition of a guest bathroom. They decided that an entertainment center would be the best investment for their game room.

They wanted something unique and custom, not a prefabricated unit. After visiting our sales and design center, they immediately recognized the quality of The French Refinery cabinets. They couldn’t contain their excitement when we showed them 3D computer renderings for the custom entertainment center. We were going to make their game room the envy of all the neighbors!

First, Some Framing Is Required

The load-bearing wall was hidden in a closet that we found along the wall where our custom entertainment center would be installed. This could pose a problem for less skilled or experienced remodeling contractors. The French Refinery has highly skilled crews and top-notch framing professionals. When necessary, we also seek approval from certified structural engineers for framing plans. If handled correctly, a load-bearing wall shouldn’t stop you from designing the floor plan that you want for your remodel. We installed a new beam to support the load that was supported by the ceiling.

Then, Some Electrical, Drywall And Cabinets

Our electrical contractor worked closely alongside these clients to determine the best placement for many entertainment components. This job required a lot of expertise in installation. The couple made a significant investment in their equipment and felt secure knowing that an experienced master electrician would install everything.

The drywall team then repaired the areas. Our master carpenters then installed stunning custom cabinets in our shop. The Shaker cabinets were chosen by the clients in High Reflective White Sherwin Williams. The new cabinets are a perfect match for the existing home’s style. To make this unit stand out, we also added LED upper cabinet lighting to the unit and glass shelves. Our clients were now ready for some serious entertainment after we did the final touch-ups on the paint, the cabinet hardware, and the carpet stretching.

It’s Game Time!

This upstairs room can now be used by friends and family as a place to watch soccer, basketball, golf, or other sports. The “Movie Night” at your home will also be elevated to a new level. Their flat-screen TV measures 80 inches, for Pete’s sake. This setup is available at your home …. Our clients love their new room.
